Days 15-17

We gathered at King Horn Field House at 1 p.m. on Friday and worked diligently to sort, organize and pack 34 suitcases filled with donated vitamins, medicines, clothes and crafts. We then left ONU and headed to the Detroit airport at 1 a.m. where we patiently waited ...

Day 14

by Katie Goodnight

Thursday, July 28th 2011 To say that the past week has been one of the best of my life would be an understatement. About NWB

What began as a routine medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic, is now a campus-wide movement to connect ONU students with international service opportunities. Founded in 2010, the mission of Northern Without Borders is to plan, develop and implement student-led service work in underserved areas around the globe.

Now, thanks to Northern Without Borders, ONU students will bring about change for others as well as for themselves. In 2010, 41 students, faculty and staff members traveled to the Dominican Republic for one week, completing a total of 15 clinics. This year, nearly 100 students, faculty, staff and alumni from various disciplines will complete a total of 36 clinics over the course of three weeks.
