Year 5: The blogacious Evan Roberts

Good Day. I will start off by introducing myself. My name is Evan Roberts and I am a senior, public relations major here at Northern. I am involved in the University Singers, Men's Chorus, Student SenatePublic Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and Black Student Union (BSU). I've also played some intramural soccer in previous years, and am hoping to get back into it this year. I am going into my fifth year here at Northern but that is more because I was originally a music education major (first two years) than anything. I am still involved with the music program, love it in fact. We have some incredibly talented kids here, and I feel lucky to know most of them.
This blog will mostly be talking about what it is like to live in Ada and attend Northern. I have been an overnight host with the Office of Admissions since my frosh year, and I usually get the same questions from seniors looking to attend ONU. So I will attempt to answer some of them here, and give readers an in-depth look into the life of an ONU student. Our schedules are full, our brains are huge, and our fun is plenty.
Also this summer I am completing an internship at Liggett Stashower, a communications firm in Cleveland, Ohio, my hometown (Cleveland Heights, specifically). I will be blogging more about that throughout the summer on our intern blog. I also have my own, personal blog called Elementality. Recently I have been getting pretty into social media and while I'm not a total tech geek (I'm a Mac), I do like gadgets and cool web tools. I have tons of different interests though; fashion, technology, sports, politics and everything in between. Except Britney Spears. I'm not interested in Britney Spears. But other than that, I'm really open to learning about anything. I feel like you have to be to get any real quality experience out of college. So take my advice and when you start school, be open to trying and learning new things. Hey after 5 years, I've gotta know something right?
