Construction Management Outcomes

Upon graduation, students majoring in construction management will have demonstrated an appropriate mastery of the knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of construction management as described in the following outcomes:

  1. Technical knowledge: Graduates will exhibit an appropriate mastery of the knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of construction – and display the ability to apply engineering, science and math fundamentals to solve technical problems related to construction management.
  2. Process understanding: Graduates will demonstrate an understanding of processes, materials, system assemblies and requirements; and an ability to conduct, analyze and interpret experiments and apply experimental results to improve processes related to construction management.
  3. Effective communication (technical/graphical): Graduates will display the ability to communicate technical information and designs using oral, written, and graphic methods as appropriate.
  4. Leadership, management, and teamwork: Graduates will demonstrate the ability to function effectively on teams with a commitment to quality, timeliness and continuous improvement to successfully manage projects related to construction management.
  5. Computer and information technology systems: Graduates will apply and use current & emerging computer and information technology systems, and an ability to apply creativity in the design of systems, components or processes related to construction management.
  6. Professional development through life- long learning: Graduates will have a recognition of the need for, and the ability to pursue lifelong learning; and demonstrate an ability to identify, analyze and solve technical problems.
  7. Ethical and professional behavior: Graduates will exhibit an understanding of professional, ethical and social responsibilities and a respect for diversity and a knowledge of contemporary professional, societal and global issues.

Manufacturing Technology Outcomes

Upon graduation, students majoring in manufacturing technology will have an appropriate mastery of the knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of manufacturing technology as described in the following outcomes:

  1. Technical knowledge: Graduates will exhibit an appropriate mastery of the knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of their disciplines – and display the ability to apply engineering, science and math fundamentals to solve technical problems
  2. Process understanding: Graduates will demonstrate an understanding of processes, materials, system assemblies, and requirements; and an ability to conduct, analyze and interpret experiments and apply experimental results to improve processes
  3. Effective communication (technical/graphical): Graduates will display the ability to communicate technical information and designs using oral, written and graphic methods as appropriate.

Upon graduation, students majoring in technology education will have an appropriate mastery of the knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of manufacturing, construction, information technology, and systems as described in the following outcomes:

  1. Technical knowledge: Graduates will exhibit an appropriate mastery of the knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of their disciplines – and display the ability to apply engineering, science, and math fundamentals to solve technical problems
