Vicki Mills, BM ’88, has taught at Ohio Northern University since 2012 and served on the piano faculty since 2016. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education from ONU and a master's degree in voice performance from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University. 

Mills maintains a private teaching studio in Ada, which includes instruction in voice, piano, and early childhood music for families and young developing musicians. Her most recent joy has been the founding of Noteworthy Community Choir, an intergenerational choir with rehearsals in Ada and Lima. She is level III certified in Orff Schulwerk and Level I in Kodaly, and she completed the International Dalcroze Training at Carnegie Mellon University. Her 11 years at the Peabody Preparatory of Johns Hopkins University included serving as chair of the Early Childhood Department, serving as mentor-teacher for Baltimore City Public School (BCPS) music teachers, teaching PK-2 in an outreach program in BCPS, and teaching Musikgarten classes in the Preparatory.  

Whether in her studio at ONU or her private studio, Mills remains passionate about making music a joyful part of everyone’s life!
