The mission of History Politics and Justice Department is to graduate students who have the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking ability to achieve success in their post-graduate endeavors.  Our graduates, and others who take our courses, will leave ONU equipped to be valuable employees, successful graduate students, and will be effective and active citizens. To ensure this, the majors offered by the department are interdisciplinary, offering students historical, political, and geographical tools that enable them to critically analyze the world around them and act on their conclusions whether that be locally, nationally, or internationally.
