Biography: 
Ms Smith's interests first began while studying abroad in Chile and tutoring English informally. Upon returning to the U.S., she looked into TESOL as a career option and applied to Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. It was there that she also discovered a love for linguistics, so she chose to pursue both TESOL and Linguistics as areas of study. During her three years at Ball state, she taught part-time as a graduate assistant in the Intensive English Institute. After graduating in 2011, she began working full-time at Ohio Northern and is currently leading English Language Programs through the formal language program accreditation process.
 
Professional Experience: 
2008-2011 – Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Intensive English Institute at Ball State University.  Taught ESL courses part-time with responsibilities on accreditation committees. 
 
2011-Present – Full-time instructor in the Intensive English Program and Accreditation Coordinator for English Language Programs at Ohio Northern University.
