Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD)

ASCD is a pre-professional organization for all grade levels and subjects. ASCD offers benefits and resources to help teacher candidates make the most of their college education. Through the various newsletters, journals, speakers, and programs teacher candidates can learn new ways to challenge their students, and grow as an educator. ONU hosts an active ASCD student chapter.

Collegiate Middle Level Association (CMLA) 

Ohio Northern University is proud to host a student chapter of CMLA, a professional education organization for college students preparing to become middle-level teachers. It is an affiliate of the Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE). The chapter plans an active schedule of events and speakers to help education students know and improve their practice as future teachers. 

 

Kappa Delta Pi (KDP)

Kappa Delta Pi is an international education honorary society that you may be invited to join after you have established your grade point and leadership capabilities. The purpose of KDP is to promote excellence in education and fellowship among those dedicated to teaching.
