Distinctive Features

The department of art & design is included in the second edition of the "Creative Colleges: A Guide for Student Actors, Artists, Dancers, Musicians and Writers" as one of the top 200 creative programs in the country.

Four major programs including advertising design, art education, graphic design and studio arts offered in a professional and liberal arts environment which contributes to students' exposure to form, theory and practices.

Required of all majors, a year-long investigative research project which synthesizes students' liberal arts and professional education, and culminates in a public presentation demonstrating knowledge of concepts, theories, issues, form, methods and materials.

An in-house design studio and course offers students real-world exposure to business and professional experiences.
