Welcome back to Ohio Northern University! Alumni Weekend 2009 promises to be full of fellowship and fun. The weekend is designed to provide you with opportunities to meet former classmates, make new friends, and enjoy our beautiful campus and facilities. We hope you will attend the seminars, banquets and other programs that are planned. We are especially thankful to the class of 1959 planning committee which has helped so much with this year's activities.
Friday, MAY 29
Noon Alumni Luncheon (McIntosh Center, Wishing Well)
1 - 6 p.m. Registration (McIntosh Center, Main Lobby)
1:30 - 4:30 p.m. Bridge Session (McIntosh Center)
Find a partner or come by yourself for an afternoon of fun!
1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Tour of the Mathile Center for the Natural Sciences
1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Internet Basics Learn more about options to connect on the world wide web!
2:30 - 4 p.m. Tours of Campus Including the Hakes-Pierstorf Family Pharmacy Addition, Dial-Roberson Football Stadium, King Horn Center, Dicke Hall, the Alumni House, and much more!
5:15 - 6 p.m. Reception in the Elzay Gallery of Art Featuring the work of Jaye Bumbaugh, BSEd '59.
6:30 p.m. 50th Year Class Reunion Dinner and Photo (McIntosh Center, Ballroom)
Join us as we honor the class of 1959. 9 p.m. Reception The Inn at Ohio Northern University

Saturday, MAY 30
7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Registration (McIntosh Center, Main Lobby)
7:30 - 9 a.m. Breakfast Buffet (McIntosh Center, Activities Room)
8:00 a.m. Walk the Remington Walk Enjoy a leisurely walk through ONU's beautiful campus with other ONU alumni and friends while learning about these new sculptures on Northern's campus. (Meet at the McIntosh fountain at 8 a.m. for shuttle service to the walk.)
9 - 10 a.m. Alumni College
This hour will include various activities for alumni and friends.
10:15 a.m. - noon Meet the Deans and College Reunion Celebrations Visit with deans and faculty from your college.
Noon - 1:30 p.m. Alumni Association Luncheon (Ballroom)
Join ONU alumni and friends for a picnic lunch followed by an update on the University from President Baker.
1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Jewelry making with the First Lady
1:30 - 3 p.m. Tours of Campus Including the Hakes-Pierstorf Family Pharmacy Addition, Dial-Roberson Football Stadium, King Horn Center, Dicke Hall, the Alumni House and much more!
2 - 6 p.m. Horse and Carriage Rides Through ONU's Campus (Leaving from McIntosh Center)
3 - 4 p.m. Tour of the Mathile Center for the Natural Sciences
5 - 6 p.m. Garden Reception at the President's Home (Dicke House)
Join Dr. Kendall L. and Mrs. Toby Baker, BFA '06, at their home prior to the alumni awards dinner. Transportation will be provided from McIntosh Center.
6:30 p.m. Alumni Awards Banquet and Dinner (McIntosh Center)
Join us for an evening of dining and entertainment while celebrating this year's Distinguished Alumni Award winners.
Sunday, May 31
8 - 10 a.m. The Inn at Ohio Northern University
Sunday Worship A list of area churches and worship times are available at the registration area.
11 a.m. The Ninth Annual Robby Golf Classic (Colonial Golfers Club - five miles west of Ada)
The event is a fundraiser for The Robby Fund, named in honor of Bill Robinson, BSEd '61, Hon.D. '05, H of F '05. Your participation fee of $125 includes range balls, 18 holes of golf with a cart, and a post-golf dinner. McIntosh Center will again be this year's Alumni Weekend Headquarters. Upon arrival, you should report to the registration area to receive your weekend materials, including room assignments, tickets for events, and any other information you should need.
A festive atmosphere, including helpful student ambassadors, ONU yearbooks from the mid-50s, and music from your years on campus will greet you at Alumni Headquarters. In addition, information will be available from the Office of Admissions. Make Alumni Headquarters your first stop when you come to campus.
We are pleased to now offer you a room at the beautiful Inn at Ohio Northern University. You may reserve a room at this full-service luxury hotel, at a rate of $90 plus tax, by calling 419-772-2500. This block will be held through April 29, 2009. Please refer to Alumni Weekend when calling to make your reservation.
Also located on Northern's campus are rooms in Ohio Northern's Campus Village Apartments. This will be available to attendees at this year's Alumni Weekend on Friday and Saturday nights at a cost of $35 per night. You may reserve a campus village apartment.
Barnes & Noble Bookstore
The University Bookstore, located in McIntosh Center, will be open throughout the weekend so you may purchase ONU memorabilia. The bookstore's hours of operation are below, and will be posted at the registration area as well.
Please visit the bookstore during these hours to take advantage of being on campus once again and to show your ONU pride when you return home.
Northern On Main ONU's own coffee shop will be open for business during Alumni Weekend for guests to take advantage of freshly brewed Starbucks coffee, or a grilled sandwich of their choice. Its hours of operation are below, and will be posted at the registration area as well.
Northern on Main is located on Main Street adjacent to the front of campus, about a two block walk from McIntosh Center.
Elzay Gallery of Art
Visit the Elzay Gallery of Art on ONU's campus. The gallery will be open from noon - 5 p.m. both Friday and Saturday of Alumni Weekend for your enjoyment. This year's exhibit features ONU's own Jaye Bumbaugh, BSEd '59.
Tours of Campus Tours of campus will be available throughout the weekend led by ONU student ambassadors in attendance. They would be happy to give you a guided tour so you may reminisce about how campus looked in 1959, and how it has changed over the years.
Horse and Carriage Campus Tours
For the fifth straight year, tours of campus in a horse and carriage will be available from 2 - 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 30. There will be many other opportunities for tours of campus throughout the weekend, so please take advantage of them to see the new buildings and renovated structures on campus.
Alumni College Seminars
The Alumni College seminars will be discussions led by Ohio Northern faculty members and will cover topics selected by your peers that we hope will interest you.

Jewelry Making with the First Lady
Join ONU First Lady Toby Baker, BFA '06, in this session, which will be an interactive jewelry making opportunity for attendees of Alumni Weekend. Each participant will leave with a piece of jewelry that they have personally made. Come enjoy yourselves and make a one of a kind piece of jewelry that you can show off to your friends when you return home.

Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner
Saturday night of Alumni Weekend, the Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner will be held to honor the 2008 Distinguished Alumni Awards winners. All attendees of Alumni Weekend are invited and encouraged to attend this dinner to honor their fellow alumni who are winning these prestigious awards.
