A panel of Ohio Northern University alumni who are prominent entrepreneurs and business leaders will discuss “Business Success and Lessons Learned Along the Way” as part of the ONU College of Business Distinguished Lecture Series in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 1. Norman J. Rex, educator and Ada community leader, was named Distinguished Citizen of the Year at the 41st annual Town and Gown Banquet Monday night. A 1956 graduate of Ohio Northern University, Rex taught industrial arts at Ada High School before completing graduate work at Ohio University, Athens. A ceramic exhibit by artist Jack E. Corle, a 1978 Ohio Northern University alumnus, is currently on display at Ohio Northern University’s Elzay Gallery of Art through Oct. 6. Corle received his master of fine arts degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology, he went onto become an associate professor and co-director of the University of Findlay art department, where he remains today.
