A Perspective: Our Country’s Energy Picture*
Guest Speaker: Neil Naiman, BSEE ’74, Marathon Petroleum Company LLC, Findlay, Ohio
Climate change, U.S. energy independence, the world’s energy picture, the U.S. economy, the world economy, U.S. government policy. How have these issues impacted the refining business and the U.S. energy picture overall? Where are we headed? This presentation will focus on where we have been and where we may be headed as well as the impact this could have on citizens of this country and the world.
Neil Naiman, BSEE ’74, is senior manager of Downstream Planning and Strategy for Marathon Petroleum Company LLC. In this current role, he leads the organization that assists executive management in the development and review of refining, marketing and transportation planning and strategy initiatives. Naiman began his career in 1974 as a pipeline engineer in Casper, Wyo., for Marathon Pipe Line Company. For more than 35 years, he has served in a variety of engineering, operations and management positions in Wyoming, Ohio, Texas and Illinois. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Naiman completed graduate work at Case Western Reserve University and earned an MBA from Bowling Green State University.
