Group overnight visits

The office of Admissions is OPEN every other Saturday for campus visits throughout the summer.   The available Saturday’s are as follows:

  • June 4 & 18
  • July 9 & July 23
  • August 6, 13, & 27

Orientations for the Incoming Class of 2011 will be held:

June 17, 24, and July 8. The office will NOT be entertaining other visitors on these dates.

Coming to campus for an overnight stay allows you to go beyond a glimpse into the life of an ONU student – you actually get to experience it yourself! Prospective students who stay on campus overnight will spend the evening with a host (a current student), attending activities and experiencing dorm life, and then sleep in the host's residence hall. In the morning, prospective students will attend classes and meet with a faculty member within their academic area of interest.

Students must apply to ONU before requesting to make an official overnight visit. In order to sign up for a group overnight experience, please fill out the Group Overnight Visit Form. You will receive an email confirmation after submitting the form. If you have any questions, please email Dustin Jarrett at

Dates for group overnights offered in fall 2010 will be determined in August. Group Overnights will include the following options:

  • Registration deadline: TBD
    • Business students
    • Pharmacy students
    • Engineering students
    • Multicultural students

Group overnights begin at 5 pm on the date listed and end at 12 pm the following day. Prospective students will meet their student hosts upon arrival, enjoy dinner on campus, and spend the evening with their hosts. As closely as possible, a prospective student will be paired with a student host whose academic or extracurricular interests are similar to their own. After sleeping in the host’s on-campus residence, prospective students will attend classes in the morning. Prospective students will have the opportunity to experience student life and to interact with faculty. Prospective students should anticipate bringing their own pillow and blankets or sleeping bag.

Please provide an email address where we can send you confirmation information about your visit.
Regardless of your answer to the prior question, please check one or more of the groups in which you consider yourself to be a member.
