Class of 2012
Business Leadership Scholarships
- Scholarships are awarded automatically to those who have applied and been accepted for admission to the University as a full-time student.
- All criteria should be met to be selected for a merit scholarship.
- Notice of scholarship awards will be included with an admission offer.
- Listed ACT and SAT scores are without the writing section.
- All academic merit-based scholarships are renewable for four years with a 3.0 GPA.
- Final awards are coordinated with other University grants and scholarships.
- Eligibility requirements for Pharmacy are for the Doctor of Pharmacy degree program and are renewable for the first four years with other funding alternatives for program completion.
Presidential Scholarships
$20,000 - $22,000 per year
Colleges of Arts & Sciences, Business Administration and Engineering eligibility criteria:
ACT ≥ 30 or SAT ≥ 1330 and GPA ≥ 3.5
College of Pharmacy eligibility criteria:
ACT ≥ 31 or SAT ≥ 1360 and GPA ≥ 3.8
Trustee Scholarships
$17,000 - $19,000 per year
Colleges of Arts & Sciences, Business Administration and Engineering eligibility criteria:
ACT ≥ 27 or SAT ≥ 1210 and GPA ≥ 3.5
College of Pharmacy eligibility criteria:
ACT ≥ 29 or SAT ≥ 1290 and GPA ≥ 3.7
Academic Achievement Awards
$14,000 - $16,000 per year
Colleges of Arts & Sciences, Business Administration and Engineering eligibility criteria:
ACT ≥ 24 or SAT ≥ 1090 and GPA ≥ 3.3
College of Pharmacy eligibility criteria:
ACT ≥ 27 or SAT ≥ 1210 and GPA ≥ 3.5
Mathile Scholarships
$32,000 per year
Accepted students who qualify for the Presidential Scholarship will be considered for these special leadership awards. A selection committee will determine the finalists, who then will be invited for an on-campus evaluation. Based on these on-campus evaluations, the Mathile Family Foundation will support two $32,000 renewable scholarships. The Mathile Scholarship will replace all other ONU scholarships.
Talent Awards
Starting at $4,000 per year
Talent awards are available to students who major in advertising design, art education, graphic design, studio arts, international theatre production, musical theatre, theatre, or dance (offered as a minor) or students who are accepted as a major in the Departments of English or Music. An audition, portfolio review, and/or interview is required for talent award consideration in all these programs. Talent awards are coordinated with other University grants and scholarships. Dimension Awards
Starting at $5,000 per year
Ohio Northern University has a mission and commitment to recruit and retain students from all segments of society. The Dimension Award is designed to help enhance and assist students from underrepresented racial, ethnic or cultural backgrounds on ONU's campus. People of color and individuals with diverse heritages or experiences are highly encouraged to apply. Only admitted students will be considered. Business Leadership Scholarships
Starting at $3,000 per year
Leadership is the cornerstone of the mission of The James F. Dicke College of Business Administration, and this award is designed to recognize and financially assist students admitted to the College of Business Administration who exhibit exemplary leadership. To be considered, the accepted student should have (at minimum): 23 ACT (1050 SAT), 3.0 GPA, and demonstrated exemplary leadership. The award is renewable annually based on continued strong academic and leadership performance. The Business Leadership Scholarship may be combined with other academic merit-based scholarships, for those who qualify.
