Ohio Northern University is committed to recruiting students from all segments of society and supporting their retention to graduation. The purpose of the Dimension Award is to offer financial assistance to incoming freshmen and transfers who are from racial or ethnic backgrounds currently underrepresented at ONU.
Award amounts range from $1,000 to $7,000 per academic year, and will be based on academic credentials.
The Alumni Award, Talent Award and academic scholarships can be combined with the Dimension Award but will be part of the overall package of funds. Need-based funds, outside scholarships, loans and work-study funds can be added as packaged. All students are encouraged to file the FAFSA.
Any student who has been accepted to Ohio Northern University who is: Hispanic or Latino, American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Black or African American, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander; who also is a U.S. citizen or has permanent resident status is eligible.
The Award is available to first-time undergraduate students (first four years for the College of Pharmacy) and transfer students. Students must be enrolled with full-time status.
Mathile Scholars and those who have received tuition remission, ministerial deduction or tuition exchange are not eligible for the Dimension Award.
Students who have already earned an undergraduate degree (BA, BFA, BS, or BM) are not eligible for the Dimension Award.
International students (F-1 status), while not eligible for this award, may qualify for other Ohio Northern awards designated specifically for international students.
