Steps and Information for Returning Students

Each year returning students must complete the following items to renew their financial aid package.

File the FAFSA – www.fafsa.ed.gov

View and accept financial aid package - Luminis (link to https://luminis.onu.edu/cp/home/displaylogin)

• After logging in to Luminis click on the Student Tab. The link to view your Financial Aid Award is at the top left of the page.

Complete Loan Applications and other Required Documentation

To view documentation needed by the Financial Aid Office log in to your Luminis (link to Luminis) account. Click on the Student Tab. On the bottom left is a list of items needed by Financial Aid.  The list will indicate if we are still waiting on any items from you.

• Stafford Loan (only if you did not borrow a Stafford loan last academic year)
  • Complete both the Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note
• Parent PLUS Loan
  • Complete both the Loan Application and Master Promissory Note
• Grad PLUS Loan (for P5, P6 and Law Students)
  • Complete both the Loan Application and Master Promissory Note. For all new Grad PLUS borrowers, Entrance Counseling must also be completed.
• Private Student Loan
• Payment Plans - Our tuition payment plan allows students and their families the opportunity of paying the balance for one semester over five months of the semester.
  • The cost to enroll each semester is approximately $25.00 and offers the option of a monthly or bi-weekly payment option. The payment plan is set up online through Payment Plan Manager by Touchnet. Enrollment for the plan occurs each semester once bills are sent.
  • The payments can be made online with an electronic check or credit card. If paying by credit card, there is a convenience fee of 2.75% added to each transaction. Payments can also be mailed to the Controller’s Office.
