Retiree Medical Coverage: Qualified retirees of ONU have access to insurance coverage both before and after age 65. If you were hired, full-time, prior to 8/1/2001, and work until a qualified retirement, you may be eligible to participate. Please see your appropriate employee handbook, found on the Policies & Procedures page of our website, for eligibility details.
- From age 62-64, your retiree-only coverage will be the same as our active employees which is currently provided by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. For further information on the under age 65 Anthem benefit plan, please refer to the medical benefit page of our website.
- Age 65 and over, our retirees receive assistance with a Medicare supplement plan and prescription drug plan. This assistance is provided by OneExchange, who also manages the Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) that our qualified retirees receive in order to reimburse their premiums. The employee communications regarding this program are below.
