Ohio Northern University student Joshua Rouch, a fifth-year pharmacy major from Ada, Ohio, is ONU’s 2013 recipient of the Cardinal Health Pharmacy Scholarship Award. The Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy was one of more than a dozen pharmacy schools from across the nation selected in 2013 to receive funding to establish endowed scholarships from the multimillion-dollar Cardinal Health Pharmacy Scholarship Program, now in its third year.

Sen. Hite to speak at National Community Pharmacists Association reception at Ohio Northern University
State Sen. Cliff Hite will be the guest speaker at the National Community Pharmacists Association’s (NCPA) annual legislative reception at The Inn at Ohio Northern University on Thursday, April 25, at 7 p.m.
Hite will speak on the topics of entrepreneurship and independent pharmacies, current legislation affecting health care, and the importance and opportunities for student involvement in advocacy.

Ohio Northern University has established the Walmart and Sam’s Club Endowed Leadership Scholarship Fund for the Rudolph H. Raabe College of Pharmacy.
The scholarship will be awarded to academically eligible ONU pharmacy students entering their fourth, fifth or sixth year of pharmacy studies who have demonstrated leadership in pharmacy or to an ONU student organization and have shown interest in community pharmacy.

Three members of the Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy, along with a member of the Purdue University faculty, have collaborated to author a textbook titled “Pharmacogenetics, Kinetics, and Dynamics for Personalized Medicine.”
Ohio Northern’s David F. Kisor, professor of pharmacokinetics, Jon E. Sprague, dean and professor of pharmacology, Jeffrey N. Talbot, associate professor of pharmacology, and Michael D. Kane, associate professor of bioinformatics and genomics at Purdue, contributed to the textbook, which will be used by pharmacy students and pharmacists.
