The procedures are completely described in the document.

ADMISSION TO TEACHER EDUCATION

A teacher candidate who has been denied admission to the teacher education program has the right to appeal this action to the Center for Teacher Education (CTE) by formal written request to the Director of Teacher Education. The candidate shall have the opportunity to present supporting information to CTE regarding the candidate's request for admission. An alternative admission policy for the CTE is established and in force.

FIELD EXPERIENCE EVALUATIONS

If a candidate receives an unfavorable evaluation from the cooperating teacher, the candidate may request a conference with the course instructor. Following the conference, the instructor may meet with the cooperating teacher to clarify and/or suggest rewriting the evaluation. The instructor may attach a written statement to the evaluation. The candidate may also submit a written statement to be attached to the evaluation.

Upon receiving an unfavorable student teaching evaluation, a candidate who retains the right to read the final evaluations of the university supervisor and/or cooperating teacher shall have the right to request a conference with the university supervisor. The candidate or university supervisor shall have the right to request a conference with the cooperating teacher. Following these conferences, the university supervisor may attach a written statement to the final evaluation.

Students retain the right to appeal assigned grades, following established University and College procedures.
