New Venture Creation

The James F. Dicke College of Business Administration offers two courses to support learning about innovation and entrepreneurship at Ohio Northern University and how and why to start a business:

New Venture Creation (ABUS 444, ABUS 222 required)helps students learn how to take an idea they have developed into a launch stage or, alternately, take a business they have already created into the next funding or expansion stage. Students prepare business plans for their ideas and test these ideas by entering business plan competitions at ONU or in Midwest or national venues. Off-campus competitions and mentoring by faculty and ONU alumni are a part of the course experience.

ONU is a member of Kern Entrepreneurship Education Network (KEEN). Development and growth of ONU's entrepreneurship education efforts have benefited from substantial support of the Kern Family Foundation.
