Hypertension Review

Learning Objectives:

Recognize and discuss the etiological factors that contribute to the development of hypertension.
List the basic monitoring parameters for drug therapy based on drug mechanisms.
Explain potential adverse reactions based on pharmacologic mechanisms of the agents used in the treatment of hypertension.
Outline the standard treatment protocols based on pharmacological mechanisms for treating hypertension.
