Working engineers make decisions every day that can directly affect the safety of the people that build, use, and maintain their products. In this Theory 2 Practice session, Mike Wright will discuss the critical role engineers can play protecting people by designing safety into their products.
Mike is founder and president of the engineering consulting firm Safety Through Engineering, which provides structural and safety engineering, expert witness testimony, and safety training for an array of diverse organizations.
Mike is recognized globally for his leadership in the development of an integrated engineering and safety methodology and the managed fall protection program. He is a recognized author, presenter, and trainer, and has been the featured speaker at many national safety organization forums.
Mike received a BS in Civil Engineering from Ohio Northern University and his MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He a professional structural engineer (PE), a licensed Certified Safety Professional (CSP), a Certified Plant Engineer (CPE), and an active member of numerous professional organizations.
