It is no secret that the economy is currently in a tailspin. However, many companies do not recognize that they may be sitting on a goldmine of potential revenue sources. The presentation will focus on the benefits of utilizing intellectual property rights in today’s market environment and provide a background on intellectual property rights that companies may wish to enforce.

Matthew F. Mottice, BSME ’04, is an associate with Standley Law Group LLC (www.standleylawgroup.com). He is experienced in the preparation and prosecution of domestic and international patents in the mechanical arts and is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. Mottice is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to practice law in Ohio and before the United States Court for the Southern District of Ohio.  He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Akron.

* 1.0 hour of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credit is available for PEs.  A certificate will be mailed to attendees after the seminar.
