Joan Robbins heads the B.A. program in Theatre at Ohio Northern where she serves on the theatre faculty and works as both a director and dramaturg. She is also the co-founder of ONU's International Play Festival, a platform for new work from around the globe. Joan has worked extensively as a dramaturg and as a director in both the academic and professional theatre. As Director of Theatre at the University of Scranton, she designed and instituted a theatre major. Highlights from her directing credits include: The Green Cockatoo for the Yale Cabaret; Dancing at Lughnasa for the Idaho Shakespeare Festival; Measure for Measure, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Holy Ghosts, The Wild Duck, The House of Blue Leaves, and The Plough and the Stars for the University of Scranton; and The Cripple of Inishmaan, All My Sons, Twelfth Night, and Dancing at Lughnasa for ONU.
