About University Singers
The University Singers is a select concert choir that has been in existence since 1971. The choir has sung with the Toledo, Lima, Perrysburg and ONU Symphony Orchestras in recent years. The ensemble has worked with such composers as Jester Hairston, John Ness Beck, Vaclav Nelhybel and Craig Courtney. On two occasions internationally known composer Gordon Getty chose them to premier new works. In the spring of 2000 they joined forces with the other Ohio Methodist university/college choirs in a performance of Bernstein's "Chichester Psalms" in Cleveland's Severance Hall under the direction of Robert Page. In 2011 University Singers went on a spring tour which included stops to Memphis, Tennessee; Orlando, Florida; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and Athens, Georgia.

Non-Music Major Talent Award for Symphony Orchestra, Wind Orchestra, and University Singers Renewal

The musician on an Orchestra Award does not need to re-audition each year to renew the award; however, seating is determined at the beginning of each year or semester based on auditions.
