String Ensemble

The Ohio Northern string ensemble an unauditioned group usually comprised of six to nine members who play literature ranging from the late Renaissance to contemporary works by ONU student composers. Students playing violin, viola, chello, double bass and piano are welcome regardless of major. The ensemble offers flexilbity to members with most performances consisting of string quartets and piano trios that expand or contract as needed. 

The string ensemble, under the direction of Dr. MJ Sunny Zank, performs at many on- and off-campus events including the annual pharmacy Christmas party,  the pharmacy white coat ceremony, local philanthropy events and weddings.
