Professor Bruce Chesser

Prof. Chesser specializes in contemporary interpretations of traditional functional ceramics. He is a retired professor of art at Ohio Northern University where he taught ceramics for over 30 years. He also served as chair of the department of art & design for 12 years. Previously, he taught at Ohio University, Athens. He holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in fine arts from OU and has participated in more than 100 juried, invitational and one-person art shows. Prof. Chesser also conducts numerous workshops and lectures on salt-glazing and raku pottery.
Professor Judith Greavu
Associate Professor of Art

MFA from Bowling Green State University
Prof. Greavu taught at Bluffton University and retired from Ohio Northern University where she was associate professor in the department of art & design from 1985–2005. While at Ohio Northern, she was responsible for the art education and sculpture programs, served as the gallery director and advisor to the Kappa Pi art honorary, and participated on many university committees.
Greavu’s works have been shown in numerous venues around the country. She has presented from Michigan to Florida and throughout Ohio, including being selected for “Spineless Wonders: Invertebrates as Inspirations,” an exhibit celebrating the bicentennial of Charles Darwin’s birth and the 150th anniversary of On the Origin of Species. Locally, she constructed a fountain for the city of Bluffton, large sculpture commissions for Tiffin University and the Inniswood Botanical Gardens, and her Reef Installation was one of the works in the prestigious citywide Grand Rapids’ ArtPrize exhibition in 2010. In 2011, she was honored with a retrospective exhibit at ArtSpace/Lima.
