Prof. Linda Lehman

Prof. Lehman graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University at Lima with a Bachelor of Science degree in education before going on to teach elementary education at a number of schools in the area, such as St. Charles, Lima Garfield, Elida, Allen East, and Bath Elementary. She continued her education by obtaining her art certification, and eventually her Master’s degree in education.
Prof. Lehman teaches art education at Ohio Northern University where she also coordinates the Saturday Morning Arts enrichment program (SMArts) to provide fine arts education to the community’s children.
Prof. Lehman is a member of the Watercolor Society, The Ohio Art Education Association, The Chicago Museum of Art, the Lima Art Study Group, and serves on a number of university committees. She also serves on the Board of Trustees for ArtSpace Lima.
She recently received a 20-year Circa Recognition Award from the Ohio Art Education Association. In addition, she recently published an article, “Lesson of the Heart: An Extra-Credit Assignment” that addressed teacher dispositions for the Phi Delta Kappa’s national journal, Kappan. She was inducted into the OAEA Circa Honor Society that honors educators who have shown long-term service and professional dedication to the OAEA in the field of visual art education. She also has presented at regional and national conferences including the OAEA’s conference. Her recent session, entitled, “Connecting Visual Arts with the Disciplines,” described ONU’s Saturday Morning Arts (SMArts) program connecting the visual arts to other academic disciplines including biology and history.
Prof. Emily Jay

Prof. Jay is currently an adjunct instructor in art at ONU where she teaches digital photography and the visual literacy courses. She is a 2010 graduate of Ohio Northern where she earned her Bachelor of fine arts degree in studio arts. While at ONU, she was involved in Kappa Pi and the Student Art League. She was also a Shelley C. Petrillo Scholarship recipient. She earned her MFA in painting from Bowling Green State University in 2013. Her current work explores the relationship between beauty and the limen. Her photographs attempt to catalog remnants of aesthetic experiences encountered in the mundane.
Prof. Laura Barnhardt Corle

Prof. Corle is currently an adjunct instructor in art at Ohio Northern where she teaches in the nursing completion program at Blanchard Valley Hospital. She has been with ONU since 2006. She earned her BFA degree in art from ONU in 1977, is a free-lance artist in the Findlay area, and teaches eight-week watercolor classes in her studio. Laura exhibits locally, regionally and nationally. Her work has been accepted in countless art shows. She also has participated in many art fairs and festivals such as the Ann Arbor Art Fair and the Black Swamp Arts Festival. She is a member of the Findlay Art League and has a studio in the Jones Building in Findlay.
Prof. Ken Colwell

MM from the University of Akron
Prof. Colwell is the associate director of web design and the university's photograph at Ohio Northern University. His previous experience includes web manager at Mount Union College, web developer and producer at the Akron Beacon Journal, webmaster at Raex Internet / Imperium Internet, and technical support manager at Raex Internet / Imperium Internet. He has won several awards for his work including a Distinguished Service Award from the University Photographers' Association of America. In 2011, he had work published in "How To: Get a Fresh Persepctive on a Popular Landmark" by Peter Kolonia Popular Photography.
Adjunct Instructor in Advertising Design

Prof. Burnett is currently the associate art director at Ohio Northern University. Prior to ONU, she worked as a freelance designer for 13 years and owned her own company, NAB. She also has served as head designer at Crown Equipment Corporation, graphic designer at Conagra and graphic designer at Wyandot Inc.
