The Spring 2009 joint meeting of the Ohio-region Section of the American Physical Society (OS/APS) and the Southern Ohio Section of the American Assocation of Physics Teachers will be held April 24-25, 2009 on the campus of Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio. We would like to thank the APS Division of Plasma Physics for providing travel support for invited speakers.

Theme
Plasma FUNdamentals (it's all about fun). We will have four invited talks from the fields of space plasma physics, basic plasma physics, applied plasma physics and fusion physics.

Abstracts and presentations
Everyone is invited to present their research in a poster or oral session. Abstracts must be submitted electronically at abstracts.aps.org. There is a $10 abstract fee payable to OS/APS. Abstracts can still be submitted post-deadline for the poster session. Oral presentations are limited to 10 minutes plus two minutes for questions. Please try to limit your poster to 4 feet wide and 5 feet high.
Accomodations
A block of rooms has been reserved until March 24 at the new Inn at Ohio Northern University at a reduced rate of $90/night + tax for single and double occupancy. A hot breakfast is included in this price. The Inn is on the ONU campus, and meeting participants will be able to walk from the Inn to all sessions. To make reservations, call the Inn at (419) 772-2500 or (866) 713-4513 and mention "OSAPS". After March 24 any available rooms may still be reserved at this special rate. Note that there are no other accommodations in Ada, though there are hotels/motels in Bluffton, Lima and Kenton, all about 15 miles away.
Directions and parking
Maps and directions to ONU are here. The street address of the Inn is 401 W. College Ave., Ada, OH 45810. Parking for conference attendees will be unrestricted in the visitor lots on the south end of campus along College Ave. (McIntosh lot D, Dukes lot L and Freed lot I) as well as University Place lot C. Attendees staying at the Inn may also park in University Inn lot U.
Student support
Support of up to $100 is available to students making presentations. The grant request form must be received by April 13, 2009. All students who requested support should have received an email giving the status of their request.
