Ohio

I was born in Lima, Ohio while my father was still a pharmacy student at Ohio Northern, but grew up in Wooster, Ohio. I graduated from ONU in 1978 with a BSEE. Prior to attending ONU, I started working in broadcasting as an engineer in 1970, while I was still in high school, and have continued in the business ever since. While I was enrolled at ONU I worked as an engineer at WIMA-FM (now WIMT) in Lima, Ohio, and did weekend air shifts at WKTN IN Kenton, Ohio.

I currently live in the Dayton, Ohio area and am a 7th grade language arts teacher and varsity basketball coach.

My name is Adrienne (Poland) Shonkwiler and I graduated from ONU in 2005 with a double major in Broadcasting and Electronic Media, and Public Relations. Fortunately, the internship I had during my junior year at ONU led to a job at a TV station immediately after graduating. I now work as an Account Executive at ABC6 & Fox28 in Columbus, Ohio, and am fortunate to be using skills I learned from both of my majors.  When they say you get "hands-on" experience at Northern, they mean it!

I am originally from Hudson, OH, where I attended Hudson High School. After graduating from the Raabe College of Pharmacy in the spring of 2009, I felt like I was prepared to begin my pharmacy career in a number of different environments. However, I ended up accepting a fellowship position with the pharmaceutical company, Merck & Co., in Kenilworth, New Jersey. Then, in the spring of 2011, I accepted a position with Merck & Co.

I am originally from Marion, OH.  I graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from ONU in 2007.  I now work for Marathon Oil Company in Findlay, OH, where I work on pipeline projects.  I help make sure buried pipelines are safe to carry hazardous gas and oil from place to place.  Did you know that Marathon pipelines transport 135 MILLION gallons of product per day?  It is my job to make sure the liquid doesn't leak out, causing damage to the environment or to people.

I live in Troy, Ohio. I graduated from ONU in 1968 with a degree in Business Administration from the Getty College of Arts and Sciences. Originally from the Springfield area, I was attracted to ONU because of the friendliness of people on the campus and the smaller size of the student body.

I am originally from Dayton, OH. I majored in management and marketing at ONU and played football and ran track. I now live in Columbus, OH, where I am an Executive Team Leader for Target. I get to wear khakis and a red polo to work every day. I got in contact with Target through one of Northern's career fairs, scheduled an interview, and was offered a position days later. Go Bears!
